Thank-you for giving us this opportunity of telling you something about Avoca Holiday Homes and the Isles of Scilly.
The Scilly Isles are a group of 5 inhabited islands, set amongst a hundred or so extrordinarily beautiful rocks and islands. We are situated twenty eight miles to the south-west of Lands End, Cornwall. The weather and the sea play a most important part in our lives, and yours too if you come and join us for a while. Our winters are mild and our summers are (on the whole) warmer and drier than the mainland and the pace of life is like manana, only not quite so urgent!
Our apartments are on the island of St.Mary’s, which is the largest of the group, approximately three miles by two, with a population of about 1500 people.
Avoca Holiday Homes are situated on a small hill on the outskirts of Hugh Town, roughly five minutes walk from the town centre, and a stone's throw from the countryside. We have a fine view from the gardens out across the “roads” to Tresco, Bryher, Samson and the No’rard Rocks.
